DRAFT for the test site. Not legal advice. Last updated October 18, 2026.
Privacy Policy
This app is made by a mom and her teenage son. It is a game about real places. We built it to collect almost nothing.
What we collect
Nothing about you. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We do not ask for your name, email or age. Location is optional: if you tap "Check my location for a verified visit", your phone checks how far you are from the landmark and earns a gold verified-visit stamp. That check happens only on your phone. Your location is never sent to us or anyone else and is not stored. The game works fine without it. We do not let you upload photos. If you also turn on "Alert me near stops" in the iPhone app, iOS watches the 20 nearest landmarks and shows a notification when you arrive, even if the app is closed. This runs on your phone only and you can turn it off any time in the Menu.
If you send us a problem report
The "Something wrong?" button is optional. If you use it, we receive only what you type, the screen you were on (for example, a town and stop name), and an email address only if you choose to add one so we can reply. Please do not include personal details. We use reports only to fix mistakes. We do not use them for advertising and we do not sell them.
What stays on your phone
Your progress (stamps, points, answers to the Fact or Fiction game, and which mission you last opened) is saved only in your phone's own storage so the game can remember you. It is never sent to us. If you delete the app or clear its data, it is gone. A save code in the app lets you move progress yourself.
Links that leave the app
Some buttons open other websites, such as a map or a source article. Those sites have their own privacy rules, and we do not control them.
Photos
Every photo comes from a free-to-use source and shows its credit. We do not collect photos from players.
Children
The app is made to be safe for teens and families. Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing to share, sell or delete. Parents can read about it on the app's Home screen.
Website hosting
If you use the web version, the company that hosts the website may keep standard server logs, such as an IP address and time, as most websites do. We do not use them to identify anyone.
Changes and contact
If this changes, we will update this page before the change takes effect. Questions: see the Support page.
